We had the pleasure of visiting Hôtel de Crillon, and it was fabulous. Stepping into this Parisian landmark is like walking through history – yet with every modern luxury you could hope for. Located at 10 Place de la Concorde, the hotel perfectly combines 18th-century elegance with contemporary sophistication, making it feel both grand and welcoming.
Our tour of the property was incredible. Each room we visited was gorgeous, thoughtfully designed, and full of character. Some of the suites offer breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower, while others showcase the hotel’s attention to detail in bespoke furnishings, antiques, and objets d’art – every corner tells a story. For anyone looking to treat themselves, or a special someone, to a truly memorable night away in Paris, this is the place. The hotel’s spa also features a stunning pool, perfect for relaxation after a day of sightseeing or meetings.
We enjoyed lunch at Nonos & Comestibles by Paul Pairet, a lively dining room offering modern, refined French cuisine. Our starter of White Tarama on toast and a Cheese Soufflé was lovely, delicate, rich, and beautifully presented. For mains, I had the Caesar Salad, which was fresh and perfectly balanced, while Jess opted for the Beef Tartare with croûtons and cube French fries – both dishes were great. The meal was accompanied by a lovely glass of dry white wine, and it was impossible not to admire their impressive wine list, ideal for pairing with any choice on the menu.
Our lunch was made even more special by our contact at the hotel, who shared fascinating insights into the property’s rich history. Commissioned by King Louis XV in 1758 and designed by renowned architect Ange-Jacques Gabriel, the hotel has welcomed generations of guests, including royalty, heads of state, and luminaries drawn to the City of Light. It’s a place where history meets contemporary elegance, creating an unforgettable atmosphere.
All in all, it was such a great experience. From the beautiful setting and warm service to the overall atmosphere, Hôtel de Crillon really impressed us. We loved getting to experience the hotel firsthand and would absolutely recommend it – a fantastic choice for a special stay in Paris.
