Our Concierge Reviews: A Night at Pink Mamma, Paris 🍕

Tamara Rudd

If you’re looking for a beautiful Italian dining experience in Paris, Pink Mamma should be high on your list. Nestled in the lively Pigalle neighbourhood, this iconic four-storey pink restaurant is an invitation to discover authentic Italian cuisine – with a healthy dose of theatre and fun.

We visited Pink Mamma on a Thursday evening, and from the very moment we stepped inside, the energy was high. Music was playing as guests arrived, giving the entrance a real buzz, a brilliant way to set the tone for the evening. We were warmly welcomed and had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Victoria, who showed us around this incredible space.

Each floor has its own personality, from tables tucked beneath the restaurant’s iconic glass roof overlooking the rooftops of Paris, to the unmistakable aroma of Neapolitan pizzas freshly baked on the second floor. And just when you think you’ve seen it all, there’s a little secret waiting below…

Hidden in the basement is a speakeasy-style bar, accessed through an unassuming kitchen door – very cool, and very Pink Mamma.

What We Ate

We kicked off the evening with some beautifully chilled white wine. For starters, we shared:

  • Arancini al tartufo – truffle risotto arancini with a flowing mozzarella centre, truffle mayonnaise, and freshly grated seasonal truffle
  • Carpaccino di manzo al tartufo – delicate beef carpaccio with arugula, parmesan, mushroom mayonnaise, balsamic vinaigrette, and seasonal truffle

Both dishes were rich, indulgent, and packed with flavour – exactly what you hope for from an Italian gem like this.

For mains, the food arrived swiftly despite the lively atmosphere.

  • One of us chose the La Reine de ton cĹ“ur Pizza, topped with San Marzano DOP tomato sauce, fior di latte mozzarella, sautĂ©ed mushrooms, herby prosciutto cotto, and chives
  • The other went for the Tagliata di pollo, served with a Riviera sauce of meat juices, olives, sundried tomatoes, and shallots, alongside crispy herb potatoes

Both dishes were absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked.

Inside, Pink Mamma feels like a tribute to Florentine trattorias, with a bold, playful twist. The atmosphere was busy but still cosy, the service was quick and friendly, and the whole evening flowed effortlessly. It’s clear why this place is so popular.
