In part two of our Colleagues Unite 2021 campaign we talk to Ann-Marie Brennand, Personal Assistant at PRS for Music, The Assistant Room Ambassador and Founder of Positive PA.
The topic? How we can support our mental health whilst helping others with theirs too?
Hosted by our Founder Jessica Gardiner, they talk about the impact of your personal and business life on your mental health as a Personal Assistant or Executive Assistant, coping techniques to help you handle anything that is thrown your way and how to identify the person you can turn to for help when you most need it.
An ambitious PA supporting the Chief People & Transformation, Ann-Marie is also the author of the much loved Positive PA blog. Before she found her calling to be a Personal Assistant, she had a colourful career working in Marketing and HR functions. This has been a huge benefit to her now as a PA as it has aided her commercial understanding and pragmatic approach. She is passionate about all aspects of health and wellbeing and is proud of initiating and leading the successful Wellbeing Programme at PRS. This has been instrumental in improving the employee engagement score and reducing the stigma of mental health at work.
Having previously experienced extreme workplace stress and anxiety Ann-Marie is fierce supporter for mental health and sharing good practice.
About Colleagues Unite
The Assistant Room Colleagues Unite campaign was established in August 2020 to serve a clear purpose of bringing new representation and shining a light on minorities within the Business Support industry.
Throughout this campaign we will be introducing you to assistants around the world who face a daily battle to achieve equality or who are seen as unlikely success stories due to industry stereotypes.
