Hello everybody and welcome to The Assistant Room Live! This is our first event of 2020 and I know, it’s very different from how we were expecting to hold this event. We would normally be in a beautiful venue somewhere in London with a glass of champagne in our hand, meeting and greeting new people and hugging old friends but regardless, whether it is online or in-person, there is nowhere I would personally rather be this evening than with you guys learning how to really develop our leadership and communication skills.
Before we get into things I just want to say a huge thank you from me, from the team and from all of our guests to those of you who are joining us this evening who are working for the NHS. Without the support and guidance that you are providing to your Directors and your teams, the fight to combat COVID-19 would be a lot harder and it would be going a lot slower. So on behalf of everybody here, you are all absolutely amazing, your efforts are not going unnoticed and so a big thank you for everything you are doing.
As you will all know, as part of you all being here this evening you are going to receive a two month complimentary membership to our ‘Rising Star’ membership which is our middle tier on a membership platform that has taken me roughly 2.5 years to develop and release. I don’t know why it’s taken me so bloody long it just has! But, the important thing is that you all have access to that platform for two months and we are going to be opening our doors to newbie members at the beginning of July. You don’t need to worry too much about registering, I will be getting in touch with you personally and directly closer to the time to give you all some more information on how you can register and become a member. I won’t bore you too much about what’s included in that membership, if you go back to the event page you just came from, scroll all the way to the bottom, there is an option to click into the details for that membership so you can get a better idea of what’s included.
So, I’m now going to get changed into my frock, you guys get comfy. If you want to be in pyjamas, absolutely fine! The important thing is that you are all ready and settled with a notepad to take as much as you can from all of our speakers who I personally find extremely inspiring.
So without further ado, I will see you all when I’m dressed up and if you have any questions afterwards let me know!
